FlimpBenefits Releases Whitepaper on Employee Benefits Video Communications

The report contains 6 employer case studies who partook in video postcard email marketing campaigns. The campaigns increased employee enrollment and addressed the issue of employees feeling as though they are not well-informed about their benefits.

Boston, MA, (November 7, 2012) – FlimpBenefits, an employee benefits communications provider specializing in HR Benefits Video Communications, has released a new Employee Benefits Intelligence Report entitled:

Communicating Employee Benefits with Video: Enrollment Solutions & Employer Case Studies (http://www.flimpbenefits.com/index.php/whitepaper)
The Whitepaper Report reviews the increasingly important role of online video for employee benefits education and benefits enrollment communications. According to recent studies discussed in the Report, “more than half the employees working in US companies today feel that their available benefits are poorly communicated to them”. This negative impression of benefits communications is due in part to excessive use of static text and graphics communications that does not engage and motivate employees in ways that lead the decision making for employers.

The Report provides data on six employer case studies where trackable video postcard communications were used to engage employees to participate in the benefits enrollment process. Four of the case studies pertain to core benefits enrollment and two of the case studies relate to enrollment of voluntary benefits products. Employee engagement rates for the campaigns ranged from 38 percent on the low end to over 100 percent at the high end.   Download the Employee Benefits Intelligence Report here.

Video content is now commonly used by employers and benefits brokers to educate employees about the use of new benefits tax savings plans such as HSA’s, HRA’s and FSA’s, as well as an array of voluntary benefits products and plans being offered. Video postcard email campaigns are being offered more frequently to employers by companies like Willis and Mercer to announce benefits open enrollment and detail annual changes in benefits plan offerings.  For these purposes, the Report states that spokesperson and executive message videos with graphic treatments are effective and affordable forms of video content.

Interactive Video Postcards: A New Benefits Communication Solution

The Whitepaper Report also discusses the use of Interactive Video Postcards (http://www.flimpbenefits.com/index.php/video-communications) for benefits communications. Interactive Video Postcards are a new video communication format that combines video with employer branding and trackable multimedia content. Using video postcards delivered by email, employers are able to measure employee viewer engagement, response, and sharing activity when viewed on computers and mobile devices.  Typically, Interactive Video Postcards generate 4-7 times higher viewer engagement and response rates than static print, email, or web content.

According to Wayne Wall, CEO of Flimp Media (http://www.flimp.net), “the cost of producing video has decreased, which makes the use of video for benefits communications a good investment. Most people aren’t excited about reading pages upon pages of insurance information.  Our case studies demonstrate that creating an interactive video postcard makes a substantial difference in employee engagement and response rates, while being more cost-effective than traditional print and face to face communications.”

“Many SMBs are going to a cloud IT model, for email, office apps and simple collaboration, leaving real business process automation to disparate on-premise or SaaS applications, states Darrell Trimble CEO at SP Marketplace.  “SP Business Suite consolidates core SMB business processes on a common Office 365 cloud platform to deliver cloud-business-in-a-box.”

SP Business Suite applications fit almost any organization because they are 100% customizable without programming.  Packaged application provisioning services for configuration, deployment and branding are available.  Rather than having expensive consultants develop solutions from scratch costing tens of thousands, SP Marketplace fills the SMB market need for cost effective solutions which better match the Office 365 cloud financial model.   “To get this level of functionality we were looking at many weeks and thousands of dollars in service fees.  Instead, we spent one-fifth the cost and had it up and running in a week” said Mike Doscher, VP at Crush Logic a wine industry services firm.

SP Business Suite is available now from SP Marketplace or one of its Partners.  Applications are priced from $10/user/month on a subscription plan or from $1500 for a perpetual license for a single site.

Why You Need Videos on Your Company's Website to Reach More Customers

New research shows that companies utilizing online videos on their websites increase website traffic and boast higher conversion rates of visitors, than those that do not.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov 06, 2012 -
Upland, CA - November 6, 2012 – Online videos are currently the best way to market a company's online presence. According to a blog by Fireside Production Marketing Manager Tammie Waddell, "Video is now essential for website Search Engine Optimization...[a] website appears higher in Google search results when there’s video content." (Waddell, 2012). A website is only as good as the traffic it generates – no traffic = no sales. Nearly 70% of the top 100 listings on Google utilize video (Marketing week, 2012).  Therefore, businesses need to incorporate online videos onto their websites.

Research shows that websites with online videos attract more visitors, increase time spent on the site, and boast higher conversion rates. The reason for this is consumers want to receive information about products and services quickly. They do not want to spend time reading text, but will take the time to watch a video. In addition, a recent survey done by online marketing company Invodo, "52% of consumers who watch product videos say those videos make them more confident about purchases...[and] When a video is information-intensive, 66% of consumers will watch the video two or more times." (Online Videos Help Build Confidence in Purchases, Dusto, 2012). Here are a few more statistics demonstrating the current trends regarding web videos:

Enterprise search solutions software company Attivio, found that pages with video attracted 2-3x as many monthly visitors, doubled time on site, and achieved a 157% increase in organic traffic from search engines. (MarketingSherpa, December 2011)
Retail site visitors who view video stay two minutes longer on average and are 64% more likely to purchase than other site visitors. (Comscore, August 2010)
People who view product videos are 85% more likely to buy. (Comscore, 2010)
Retail sites with video increase conversion by 30%. (L2 Specialty Retail Report, September 2010)

The final key is to create videos that will engage and interact with visitors. Web-Actors.com, an online video production company, specializes in these types of web videos. With a seasoned production team, talented writers and premier group of actors and spokespersons, they are capable of producing any video project. Web-Actors.com founders are confident the company will transform the way businesses reach web users through online videos.
